Private Property Impounds

We sell signs which are required by the State of Michigan to remove vehicles from private property.

To purchase a sign or to have a vehicle removed , please call us at 248-693-9375.

To have a vehicle removed in the State of Michigan, a business or private lot must display a clearly visible sign stating that Unauthorized Vehicles will be Towed at Owners Expense.

The sign must also include the name of the wrecker service that they will be impounded by.

The local police department must then be called on scene, and the vehicle can then be removed ONLY by the wrecker company displayed on the posted sign.

No. Single and Dual Family Residences are exempt from signage requirements. But police still must be contacted. Any residence larger than a dual-family (duplex) must post a sign.

The owner or manager of the property must contact the assigned wrecker service, and must also be present when the vehicle is to be removed. To have a vehicle removed from property displaying our signs or to order a sign please call 248-693-9375 Vehicles cannot be impounded unless a sign has been present for at least 24 hours. Because night impounds are much more difficult for everyone involved, it is recommended that you arrange for an impound during daylight hours.
